Slow Transferspeed on our TS-879U-RP

Hi,

we just bought two TS-879U-RP and got very strange problems.

They are connected via gigabitlan to a netgeaer GS2724T gigabit switch. It doesent matter if we use two ports or port trunking in every option, our transferpeaks are just around 32MB/s.
The NAS are set as raid0 with eight HDS724040ALE640 drives.

Any idea what can cause these superslow transferrates?

Regards!

setup help would be appreciated, new TS-220

Good afternoon QNAP forum. My name is Scott and I'm new here. I hope to be a useful contributor on this forum once I get my feet under me. Other than hosting a website on a remote Linux server, my linux knowledge is zero.

This week, I bought a new QNAP TS-220, updated firmware to 4.0.0 and successfully formatted two 2TB WD Red hard drives as ext4 volumes, configured in Raid 1. I successfully ...

TS-210 does not start

Hi,
I've had my TS-210 Nas for some time now and haven't had any problems until now.
Today I installed the QFinder 4.0. Started it up the first time, it found my nas and everything was working.
I noticed QFinder showed there was a firmware update so I selected Update firmware from the QFinder menu.
The update got downloaded and it was busy installing. When QFinder said progress was 50% and status was connecting I ...

new TS412 setup question

Hey all,
Just got my TS412 today for home and loaded up my hard drives. At home I have both Mac and Windows PC's. Currently I'm at work with Windows PC's. Does it matter whether I do the configuration using the Windows or Mac section? Does it matter if I do it at work? Can I then just bring it home and plug it in and set the rest up?
Thanks
Greg

TS-119P II not accessible with system disk

Hi All,

I have a very strange problem with my TS-119p II.

The NAS seems to boot normally. I hear the first beep, and then second two minutes later. All good so far.
Then however I cannot access the NAS via the webinterface, SMB or SSH. It only seems to respond on a ping...

When booting without the disk, the system boots normally and shows the installation wizard when you access the webinterface.

What can ...

SOLVED:TS-212 3.8.3 firmware install failing (even manually)

Hi everyone,

After much success with my first TS-212 unit, I purchased a second TS-212 with a view to rsync from one to the other to provide a more robust backup solution.

I decided to do the firmware upgrade that the Finder told me about, though it appears that it only 'half' completed. After reading on the forums the solution appeared to be to manually install the firmware (note: I attempted to redo the firmware ...

Advice on security settings

Hi, I've been searching for clear advice on the security settings available for the NAS.

Is the following correct? Or am I confused and wrong?

Security Level

High - great if you have a fixed range of devices/IP addresses which will require access to the NAS. No use if you want to access the NAS remotely or use it with QNAP Download Manager.

Medium - Blocks access to all connections on the list (shown below ...
