QNAP NAS Community Forum

Can someone update the packages. The utilities versions are so far behind. I need to work on a few codes and can not do so since i don't have the newest version of the packages install on optware. Manual update do not work. Well i know why it doesn't.

In the past i have TS-101 (100% briked) , TS-209.

Right now i have TS-409 Pro with 4 HDD ( 2x1TB + 2x500GB).

I have tried many ideias in order to try to install OPKG of QNAP.

I have tried many firmwares 3.3.2_Build0918 / 3.3.2 build 0917 and even 2.xx firmwares.

I have asked for help under LMS section, but maybe tried wrong section of the forum, it can be more related with ipkg.

I use Squeezecloud plugin for Soundcloud on LMS. Some features are working but there is a known "400 Bad Request" error if you try Dashboard, favorites etc.

I have installed mkvtoolnix on my qnap ts-459pro, and I have look at this string viewtopic.php?p=128585

I have upgraded the boost system etc, and that all seems to go ok.

Now i am trying to run a script on my qnap to extract all .srt subs from my mkv files, but I cannot get that to work.

Where can I find the optware ipkg? I have a ts112.

I have tried a few different methods to try and get ZNC to run at boot, but have had 0 luck so far on my TS-212.

I have tried following the "Running Your Own Application at Startup" methods. I can put an arbitrary command (such as mkdir) in autorun.sh, but znc will not seem to execute in this script. This is an example of one of the scripts I have tried:

gphoto2 version 2.4.1 (comes with optware package)

idea is to transfer files from a Nikon camera (d300s) via PTP to the NAS.
camera is connected via USB.

I did not manage to get it worked while using gphoto2 2.4.1

a) did anyone tried this?
b) is there an upgrade package of gphoto2 available (newest version is 2.5.1 with integration of lots of new cameras)

I have a problem with Optware being disabled (/opt/ symlink is also removed) after running a PHP script. I like to debug the issue but cannot find any log files to get me started. Is it possible to enable debug for Optware? If so, how to and what is the default path to the log file?

I am facing a problem related to persistent storing of Openssh config settings.
I have installed Openssh using ipkg on QNAP TS-859 Pro+. I have configured passwordless Login to Qnap from one of my ubuntu server.
I faced passwordless login problem after QNAP get restarted.
I observed that the setting related to Openssh has lost and has been replaced by factory setup default ssh instead of Openssh.
Please guide how to save ...
