Fail to join a TS-459U to a SBS 2008 AD

I am using the latest firmware 3.8.3 Build 20130426 but I still get this error message after requesting the AD join:

Domain names & groups not listing

I have a LDAP connection that seems to be successful but no AD names or groups are displayed

QNAP = TS-EC1279U-RP
FW = 3.8.3 Build 20130426

Any Ideas?

Ldap online but User not loaded

Hello people,
i set the nas for join with the ldap in my company.
Currently the status the Ldap server is online but when i go the Menu/Access Right Management/ Users / Domain Users does not appear any user or group.
What could be wrong?

Mutiple DNS Entries

Hi everyone,

I have joined to a Windows domain with a QNAP device that has two IP addresses (ethernet 1 is on the domain subnet, ethernet 2 is on a different vlan with different subnet for management purposes).

I could not see any options to exclude the second NIC from registering itself in DNS so I never checked "Automatically register in DNS" at any point. I therefore expected to have to add the first IP ...

problem network login with ts-412U (latest firmware)

Hello all

I have ts-412U and i reset the box, i set the box to connect to our AD and everything work with the users and domains, and also i can see all users from the AD in the NAS

but when setting the premission to folders , even public, i cant login using user and password from the AD or even NAS itself

is there a manual how to set the premissions after connection ...

Qnap TS-469U as Primary Domain Controller

I want to ask if is possible my qnap TS-469U Version 3.8.1 (2012/12/05) can acts as a Primary Domain Controller Windows with samba .
We 've about 50 client windows machine I want to join to the Domain and authenticate with ldap.

AD users cant access qnap

Hello:

My users were able to connect to the qnap device using the QNAP local user ID and permissions.
i have been able to connect my TS439 and TS669 to the AD server and they are joined
i see all the AD users in the qnap web gui

however , i can't grant AD users access to the QNAP group.
i need this to now allow users to mount the qnap share with AD credentials. ...

We newly buy a Qnap TS-469 Pro with the last firmware 3.8.2. I need to integrate it in my domain network.

Our infrastructure count 4 distinct site:
- datacenter: range 10.1.0.0/16 with the primary domain controller (10.1.1.11)
- site 1: range 10.2.0.0/16 with a second domain controller (10.2.1.11)
- site 2: range 10.3.0.0/16 with a second domain controller (10.3.1.11)
- site 4: range 10.4.0.0/16 with a second domain controller (10.4.1.11)
