GLPI is the Information Resource-Manager with an additional Administration- Interface. You can use it to build up a database with an inventory for your company (computer, software, printers...). It has enhanced functions to make the daily life for the administrators easier, like a job-tracking-system with mail-notification and methods to build a database with basic information about your network-topology.
Hi all, I'm just a new user of Qnap product (just 1 week) and I got glpi QPKG from Qnap website. I get some trouble to install it because I'm asked for a user id and pawwsord for Mysql database connection. I tried with glpi/glpi but in vain!!! By default there is root as user id. Someone has an idea of that?
First thanks AndyChuo for making this QPKG available.
Secondly using this QPKG (0.72.3) as a starting point I was able to update it to GLPI 0.80.0 in about 10 minutes. Adding the Fusioninventory plugins and having a working auto inventory system took another 20 minutes.
Read the forums, all the clues you need are there.
GLPI seems disabled plugin installation from the control panel. I tried to extract the plugins to my GLPI plugin folder, but on the plugin page, nothing shows up. Is there a guide explaining the steps to install plugins into our GLPI?
lately I tried to install "glpi" via QPKG on my TS-809Pro, which worked nicely. Database setup also completed without errors. But when I started configuring the E-Mail-Notification within "glpi" I was confronted by quite a pickle. It seems that the notification is buggy, or more likely, I can't find the right setting.
My hoster is "One.com".
Use a SMTP server to send emails -> I tried "php" & "smtp" SMTP Host - Port:2525 ...
So on the GLPI screen i see under Administration > Data you can SQL Dump and XML Dump the database. So how do you restore it? Also, if you restore the database, it doesn't restore the files right? Do you need to backup the glpi folder from Qweb? Any information on doing a full restore?
I'd like to thank the Qnap team for this great package !
I'd like to take advantage of this message to ask if you plan to make the OCS package which usually comes along with GLPI available. It would be really great and really usefull !!!!
