When installing Videostation package on QNAP 559 Pro (firmware 3.8.2) the symbolic link /tmp/mysql.sock
disappears and not remote connection to my sql server is possible anymore.

Uninstalling this package solves the problem.

Does anybody know whats going on there?

Current firmware version: 3.8.1 Build 20121205
In QPKG upgrade to MusicStation, 3.1 (20121207) .

/share/Multimedia -> MD0_DATA/Multimedia/
/share/Qmultimedia -> MD0_DATA/Qmultimedia/
I empty the content in both /share/MD0_DATA/Multimedia and share/MD0_DATA/Qmultimedia to begin with.

In Music Station, upload music.mp3 to Current folder:\Multimedia.
The music.mp3 file is created in /share/MD0_DATA/Qmultimedia, but it does not exist in /share/MD0_DATA/Multimedia.
I can see music.mp3 in Multimedia Station, but I cannot see it in Music Station.

I have successfully created folders in Photostation, set them up with a Slideshow password and copied the URL (with DDNS name not IP) to email.

http://{NAS name}.qcloudnas.com/photostation/slideshow.php?folder={name of my folder}

Some of my friends can open the URL, enter the password and see the photos. However one friend keeps telling me that he gets a "IE cannot open webpage" message.

I have a TS-419 PII with firware version 3.8.1 Build 20121205 and I am facing a couple of issues w.r.t user access and privileges.

Issue 1:

Setup in Access Right Management > Users:

I have setup a user account with RO access to the "Multimedia" and RW access to "Public" private network shares. I have granted access to all Network Services and Applications under Application Privileges.

Has anyone else had issues getting their HDMI to work? Mine is just a black screen, vga works and I am able to play XBMC over vga, but HDMI is just black.

Appears to be no source detected.

I'd like to get a better understanding about VideoStation.

If I have say 3 users on my NAS and they all have VideoStation access, they each upload a video using their own login details. They all log out. If a casual user goes to the site he/she will see all videos uploaded by the three users. I have tried this with three fictitious users.

I'm a new user, I've just bought a TS-569 Pro (firmware 3.8.1 build 20121205), at least in part in the hope
I could connect it to my stereo and to my home theatre and lose the laptop that was connected to them before.

For video content, I'm pretty happy with XBMC (but roll on Frodo!); that was what I'd been using before on my laptop anyway.

For music content, however, I'm finding Music ...

Command lines scare me - I know nothing of programming (but i love my gadgets!). I have read many threads, some of which are years old as I want to create a symbolic link from my media folders to the Multimedia Station. Is there a way of doing this through a GUI? Maybe the web file explorer? I am on an ARM-based QNAP 410.

Just upgraded my TS-419P II to 3.8.2.

Now Photostation shows a blank page (https://<IP>/photostation).

The URL did not change from the previous version.

I already tried:

- Disabling/Enabling Photostation
- Uninstalling/Installing Photostation.
- Setting Web Server settings to default.
- Clearing Web-Browser's Cache.

Any ideas? :)
