Hello all,

just started in the new world of NAS-systems.
One of the things that i'd like to do with my NAS is that i can play my music every where around the world.

I read that mpd could do that job.

But I don't have any idea how to install that program on the NAS as I am completely new on this part.
Anybody who can help with the basics to get this working? ...

I have a freshly installed TS-859 that I'm trying to setup. However, I'm not able to login to the Multimedia Station. The manual (and about a hundred online searches) have not provided me with which username and password combo to use. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

In order to get my playlists correctly sorted in folder view, I have edited the aforementioned file (view-definition.xml) located in /mnt/ext/opt/twonkymedia/resources/views adding the correct query to sort my files by number and not alphabetically. Those changes have been done with twonky server stopped and as soon as I started it from the administration interface everything worked out as expected... but as soon as I restarted the NAS all my settings are reverted to ...

I've not put photos on my TS201 before but now want to.
I've enable QMultimedia etc and can run it - following the manual I browse for photos (which are stored on my IMac) and can see them all. Trouble is I can't simply select a folder (and subfolders) - the option to upload only becomes available at single photo level ! Obviously this would take hours (hundreds, if not thousands of photos).

I have an issue with the thumbnails generation.

For some reason the ImR_all does not work as expected but only for some folders (or directories). 99% of the time it's working perfect. But it keeps ignoring some other folders and I could'nt figure out why.

Unless I really forces the generation by either loading the webpage or by manually launching the command /usr/local/sbin/ImR_all -soft /Qmultimedia/XX/XXX/XXX/ with the exact path of the folder, it ...

I'm experiencing some annoying issues with the slideshow feature of Qmultimedia...

Is there a way to have access to the logs of the web server to see if I can troubleshoot some of those issues ?


I have a TS-109-II running firmware version 3.1.0 build 708.

I upgraded from version 2.1.4 but unfortunately version 3.1.0 does not bring any change to the Qmultimedia application.

I have mapped the public folder of a TS-210 to a network drive in Vista4 using the admin user id.

I am now trying to map the Qmultimedia folder using the same admin user id and I'm getting the following error:

After upgrade to new firmware, why it can't generate a thumbnails again( I should use telnet to gen the thumbnails manuelly!!!!! / usr/local/sbin/ImR_all -soft /Qmultimedia.pls follow my case with your profressional.

When I log-in one of user's ID and test the account and then logout.

After that I want to log-in admin ID, so I click the 'log-in'.

However, at this time, Qmultimedia is automatically logged in with previous user's ID.

The log-out function doesn't work correctly.

Please check this problem.

p.s. Qnap 809 pro with google chrome latest browser.

I am using TS-119 FW 3.2.3 Build 0201T.
I created 2 users and set read and write to Qmultimedia. When I try to login into the Multimedia Station, it just keep asking me to login.
Please help.
