Hi,
I'm looking into using DropBox on QNAP for a customer of mine who has a TS-469 Pro and would be grateful if you could let me know whether the software uploads only the sections of large files that have changed, like the Windows Dropbox client does, or if it uploads the entire file again. He has a slow upload speed so the more efficient the better for him.

I have the latest version of dropbox installed on my Qnap TS-469L, and the standard software my local pc. Atm i am working on the dropbox folder on my pc as i am a little apprehensive to switch to working on the nas just yet.

With Dropbox 120408 does the share have to be located with a target path of /share/MD0_DATA/Dropbox? (my understanding was that a share called Dropbox was needed not a share called Dropbox located with its target in a specific place).

If I let the qpkg create the share then everything seems to work OK. However I create my shares under /SMBShares to differentiate shares I created which will have valuable data in (and thus need ...

I have two TS-469 Pro devices one in West Coast and one is East coast.

They both stop syncing after 8hrs.

Any suggestions?

We've successfully implemented a synchronization between two TS-269 QNAPs and made various users to access or deny folders via Advanced Permissions.
However, it seems that newly added folders can only be viewed with the 'dropbox' user. I expected that newly added folders would use inherit parent folder permissions.

Does someone recognizes my problem and maybe have a solution to it?

Hi, I tried to install Dropbox on TS-419P+.

It says: "Wrong architecture: Dropbox 120408 is built for x86"

uname -m says:
armv5tel

I guess it's not supported? Or maybe it is? Will I be able to somehow have my Dropbox synced on my NAS?

since a couple of days I worked with Dropbox 1.2.52 on my TS-669Pro and it works fine ... I thought.
But yesterday I noticed, however, that not all files are synchronized to the Dropbox or be downloaded on my NAS.

And I noticed that there seems basically files with German umlauts (ä, ö, ü, etc.) in the name is (eg "grün.txt").

Does anyone know a solution for this that even those files ...

I was wondering if the CPU Load on a TS-212 would be heavy if I installed the dropbox qpackage?

Currently my NAS goes into sleep after 15mins of being idle, I wouldn't want it to stay up longer, would that be a problem?

Dropbox runs now with the rights of the user dropbox. It sets permissions on files and directories as user dropbox and group everyone.

1.) I don't want to see the directory for all users of the NAS; so I have set the directory hidden.
2.) As Dropbox will only work for one user (absolute nonsense on a multiuser-system, but ...
