How to Backup your XBMC Settings & Database

I've not yet lost my database after an update but i would recommend to do an backup before an update.

- Easy Way:
Go to System -> Settings -> Addons -> Search -> "backup"
Download and Configure XBMC Backup. (Specify backup path, and optional time schedule)
Then go back to Main Menu -> Programs -> and run XBMC Backup.

- Manual Way:
Login to QNAP via SSH. ...

AND you want to upgrade to 3.8.1 ... Disable first the QPKG and don't re-enable it :evil: :evil:
