Newbie here asking for some help. I have searched all around but couldn't find anything. I upgraded my 639+ pro to 3.8.3 Build 20130426, and now I am unable to start my pyTivo manually. When I type
Code: Select all
pyTivo.py start

I get -"sh: pyTivo.py: command not found". So I tried to just type

Code: Select all
start

and then enter, but I get "-sh: start: command not found". Any help would be ...

Can't access part of my TS210

System & Disk Volume Management

Can't access part of my TS210

I've a QNAP TS-210 with two disks and a couple shared folders for each disk.
Everything was working just fine until a couple weeks ago when a black out forced an incorrect shutdown.

Now:
I can access the shared folders on disk2. I see the shared folders on disk1 via samba, but it asks me for login/pass and then it says it can't connect to the folder.
Twonkymedia runs, ...

Single Disk Volume -> Two RAID 1 Volumes : Best Practice?

System & Disk Volume Management

Single Disk Volume -> Two RAID 1 Volumes : Best Practice?

Dear All

After reading about several problems with single disk volumes, I thought I maybe better ask some opinions.

I currently have a TS459 Pro (3.8.1) with 2 single disk volumes in bays 1 and 2 and one RAID 1 volume in bays 3 and 4. (See picture for exact details.) Basically, I want to go to 1 RAID 1 volume in bays 1 ...

No log files in rsnap 3.1.2

Rsnap

No log files in rsnap 3.1.2

I seem to have managed to setup rsnap correctly on my TS-119, because it is producing daily and weekly backups as scheduled. However, I only see log files under "Backup-informations" for manually started backups. For scheduled backups, no log files appear (although the backup works normally).

Is it just me or is this a known bug? Is there a work-around?

Port Trunking in general

Hardware & Software Compatibility

Port Trunking in general

Dear QNAPpers,

I'm using a 1 Gigabit-Switch, does this mean, that all ports beeing in use at the same time share this 1 Gigabit or does each port have the capacity of 1 Gigabit?

I'm asking this question because I'm wondering if Port Trunking makes sense for my situation. To give you ...
