[Question] TS-439 Pro move share folder

Postby stanley_chung » Sat Jun 20, 2009 9:07 am

I am using TS-439 Pro and the setting is 3 HDD build in Raid 5, and 1 HDD is single disk. F/W V3.1.0 build 0618
When I would like move any folders from Raid 5 Disk to Single disk. It doesn't work and keep in Raid 5.

However, when I downgrade the F/W to v2.1.6, I could success move the folder to the single disk, but all the files have disappear, scare me~~~~~
By the way, if I move back the location to Raid 5, all the files appear again.

Do someone face this problem and anyone could help me?

Thanks, Stanley

Hello stanley,

In Share Folder Property, if you change Disk Volume, you only change the Folder shortcut.
It does not allow you to move the folder to another volume.

If you want to move the folder, you have several ways to do it.
1.Using Web File Manager
2.Using FTP
3.Using WinSCP(Free software)
4.Using SAMBA (Windows File Copy)

Thank you for choosing QNAP.
