Difference between X70 and Pro version is CPU (Celeron, Core i3), end of human reply

Hmm, others reckon there's more than just that...
What about 870 Vs 870 pro? And 870 Vs 870 pro rack-mount unit?
I'll have a closer look at that very clunky comparo tool.

Beyond of the CPU (all have lockable trays, LCD, ... don't mix up with TS-x69 Pro vs. TS-x69 L):
TS-x70 Pro:
Intel® Core™ i3-3220 3.3 GHz Dual-core Processor
2 x Gigabit RJ-45 Ethernet ports (expandable to 4 x GbE ports or 2 x GbE + 2 x 10GbE ports)
Two SO-DIMM slots (max 16 MB as per community reports)
IR receiver for MCE remote
TS-x70:
Dual-Core Intel® 2.6 GHz Processor
4 x Gigabit RJ-45 Ethernet port (2 ports are provided by the included PCI-E NIC); Optional dual-port 10 GbE NIC support by replacing the dual-port GbE PCI-E NIC
Two SO-DIMM slots (max 16 MB as per community reports)
IR receiver for MCE remote
TS-870U:
Dual-Core Intel® 2.4 GHz Processor [new Dual-Core Intel® 2.6 GHz Processor AFAIK]
2 x Gigabit RJ-45 Ethernet ports (Expandable up to: 6 x Gigabit LAN or 4 x 10 Gigabit + 2 x 1 Gigabit LAN)
Four DIMM slots (max. 32 MB)
No IR receiver
Potentially I'm blind what should be clunky - click compare on the models you like to see and get for example - http://www.qnap.com/en/compare.php?lang ... 9631,19628

Nice, blame other community members and not provide reference links yourself...jalyst wrote:Hmm, others reckon there's more than just that...

Thanks, that was a good start, I'll have a closer look at it all myself later.
No blame was meant to be cast, as you put it...
I was simply referring to a discussion I had with someone at a completely diff. site/forum, they owned one & had access to another.
Later I will dig-it-up, time permitting....

Re: When will 470 PRO be available for purchase?
Thanks in advance for sharing instructions/videos/photos of the upgrade, since I am planning one myselfnon-serviam wrote:I have finally collected all the parts (Intel i7 3770t, Corsair H60, Cougar Vortex PWM 120mm, QNAP 10GBASE-T PCI-E card, 6x Seagate Barracuda 4TB NAS, Corsair Vengeance 16GB). As soon as I find free time I will perform the upgrade and upload detailed instructions, videos and photos.
The 3770T didn't come inside the classic little blue box (from Amazon.de), but instead inside a big box, within a small piece of cardboard with half a cm foam, covered with bubble wrap. Very poor packaging. I hope that it still works. Did anyone had the same problem?
Has anyone found an alternative for the PSU?
