Qnap Line-up 2014

Post by danny.bmw »

hello,

I was wondering if there is an new line coming this year.

i want an new home 2 bay or 4 bay Qnap. but will there be an new model ?

i have read some posts and i see the TS-269H and the new X80 models.

are there some interesting thing with an intel processor in progress worth for waiting ?

or can i just go to the store and buy a Qnap?

Thanks in advance.

If you need a device I would recommend deciding on it now instead of waiting for a new model as in the past it took many months after announcements for hardware to show up in the channel. In the end, the x80 model is only a marginal improvement from the x70 line anyway. If you don't need the power of an i3 (or better), it would be best to go with the x69 line or even cheaper. There's not many use cases where the cheaper models will suffice but it really just depends. A good idea would be to start another thread listing your requirements and let the friendly users of the forum help you decide on the best course of action.

I'm not aware of the x69H version so I'm not sure if that's worthwhile to wait for. That's what the community is for so just post with your needs and let everyone help out! :)
