Qnap Calendar Cloud (HIPAA/PHI)

I have a client who works in healthcare. They are migrating data and information to the "cloud" or off-site backup. But needs to be HIPAA/PHI compliant meaning data transfer both ways encrypted and sensitivity information should not be transfer of patients.

I was thinking the Qnap can offer these kind of services. I figured out the data transfer part. But needs a manageable way to update data like in a database/calendar format. (ex. iCal, google calendar) residing on the NAS.

Any tips?

Update: My client resided with using Synology instead. It because of encryption and CalDAV support.
