QGetMobile: Manage downloads on iOS/Android/WinPhone7/Nokia

Hi there, I have just recently switched from ZyXEL's NAS server to QNAP 109 II, downloaded QGet Mobile HD to my iPhone 4 and iPad, I can access my QNAP server when I am at home on the same WLAN, but still failing to set it up to work outside home WLAN (mainly through 3G on my iPhone and iPad, in the future on my Mac as well. Could you PLEASE help me with setup? I have QNAP hooked on my VDSL FritzBox 7390 IAD. I (only) guess I need to use public IP (not the one that I use when accessing it through my home WLAN) and some ports forwarded, but as I am a real newbie it this I have no idea how to do it... Thanks a lot in advance for any help!!!

Hi,

You need to configure your router so that it forwards ports from the exterior of your local network to your qnap inside your local network. The protocol used is TCP.

Thanks for this app, I have just purchased it and had no problems connecting it to the Qnap NAS.

However, for a private tracker which has an authenticated site, the site loads in fine with the built in browser but when I click a torrent link, nothing seems to happen. Is this functionality offered?

Yes, it should work fine with private trackers. Could you send me more information by email (dev@patey.net) ? The URL of the website, the file you're trying to download, stuff like that ?

Hi all,

Just to let you know that private trackers are handled in QGetMobile v1.6, which is available on iPhone, and in beta for Android.

VooDooUK has bought the Android version, which is v1.4, that's why private trackers don't work yet

Thanks for your reply.
Problem fixed.

It is not problem of QGetMobile.
For security, I blocked IP of invalid connection retry.
After removed the IP no. from blocked list, anything works fine.

Hi,

I have a QNAP 419P and last night just purchased your QGetMobile, it worked beautifully, however I have a wish list and hopefully you would consider implement them.

(1) Support for CJK font (Chinese, Japanese and Korean), at the moment the list is shown in unreadable font, but the downloading part is still fine, except I can't distinguish them.

(2) Support for iPhone4 Retina display please...
