I can not download from Vortex Network! Pls, give me support and technical help.
I would suggest you make a new thread, and give more info on which problems you encounter (I have no idea what vortex is)..
Some bittorrent sites ban the client used by qnap, but I have no idea if that's the case here.

Hi Fribse, this is my problem:
http://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=7115

Vortex is a private torrent community for Mac users but there is a problem.
Here is the list of the allowed torrent clients:

Azureus 2.5.x.x
Azureus 3.0.x.x
Azureus 3.1.x.x
µTorrent 1.7.7
µTorrent 1.8.0 (Beta)
BitTornado 3.17
BitTornado 3.18
Deluge 0.5.9.3
libTorrent 0.11.x
libtorrent 0.12.x (rtorrent)
Transmission 1.2.2

When I wanted to use my Qnap NAS for downloadon none of the torrents was working so I had to use my notebook to download the files I wanted. Keep my ratio value nice is also difficult this way. (My Qnap download service works nice at other torrent portals.)

What to do now? I hate to use my notebook for torrenting.

If the client is using libtorrent, why not just advertise as libtorrent 0.12 or whatever version it is that you are based on? That would make it so much easier to deal with private trackers, all of which support libtorrent 0.11 or 0.12.

it where much easier if you can configure more things in the QNAP Download Station about the TOrrent Client.

Is it possible to install another client on a TS-101?

"BTDownload" is the client used. I have no idea if it is something QNAP have done themselves from scratch or whether it is based on an exisitng client.

There are posts in the forums that state BitTornado is used when DHT is disabled, but I have not found this to be the case.
