Actually doesn't work for me. When adding bt tasks it states "added" but it never starts to download and doesn't show up in the list.

I have an issue when I try to add a download via URL. The first time I input the URL and add task it works fine. But when I switch apps back to safari to get my next URL and back to qget remtoe to try to add it I can't paste it in. I'll hold click to bring up paste but when I try to click paste it just disappears. Hard closing the app and reopening it will fix it. Any ideas?

Hi, I just downloaded the app this morning and can use it ok on my LAN when my iPad is connected via the LAN ip 192.1.x.x. My question is probably quite simple and beginnerish but I'm sorry I don't know enough to figure out how to access remotely from WAN. So can someone please provide me a brief summary of the steps involved? I read this whole thread and I didn't see this information.

Do I have to set up some port forwarding on my router?
How can I remote access using a Dynamic DNA address in case my public ip changes?
Do I need to make any changes in setup of the qnap NAS itself to allow remote access? (I don't need to reach my files externally, just to use the qget remote to add download tasks)

Anything else I need to do to make this work? Thanks.

Hi

Using your app with joy, but have one question: what would it take to be able to invoke unrar from the file list in the torrents? Appearantly unrar'ing from an ipad is not an easy task as it requires a right click in the web file manager...

Thanks :)

Sorry I'm being a bit daft here but I can't for the life of me get it to work for my setup. A few questions, that may be my problem!

- IP address: Is this the same as the IP address that's shown when I use, say, QGET on my local network?

- Do I need to have my QNAP working as a web server to be able to access it with this app?

- Any other settings I need to change on my QNAP device to allow this app to see it?

Thanks and sorry for asking such basic qs!

I have bought qget yestday and started playing with is.
I would like to use it to download .torrent files to the download station and to download .nzb files to a folder on the nas so nzbget can pick it up.
Normaly i place both types of files on dropbox after i use my ipad to download them.
When i get the link from a .torrent file in my dropbox/public folder and place thet in qget and select download with BT all is Ok.
The thing i cannot get working is how to get a .nzb file from dropbox to my nas. I can copy the link and download it als file (http download). The file is then listed in the download section but i cannot find the file anywhere on the nas.
The download folder on the nas is set to /download.

Anyone got an idea how to get this working? Any help would be great.

Magnet support will be available in next update (the update is waiting for review by Apple's team).
It will of course require the latest QNAP firmware v3.7.0 (which added magnet links support in the download station)

Any chance for file operations support just like in SynoDS? I believe it can be done now when 3.7.0 and Qfile have been released. It is very annoying to open one more app for moving downloaded files to different folder or to change some filenames..

Anyway - very happy - just thinking:)

It is possible since a long time actually, I've done most of the work but still need some time to make it working without bugs.
It'll come one day with a lot of new features ;)

Would it be possible to add an unrar option?

Maybe an auto unrar or a manual option?

What do you think?

Hi there, since updating to the latest firmware and qget version (with magnet link support), i have a weird issue in the settings section on my Ipad 1. I can still access the settings section, but i cannot change any of the settings. Pointing at the numbers (e.g. max dl speed) does bring up the keyboard, but as soon as i hit any key it closes without typing in any changes. I also tried selecting and changing, but that results in the same behaviour. Any idea what I am doing wrong? Cheers!
