Hi :-)

i try using this App on my IPAD.

I can connect to the NAS without any Problems but when i try to add a download link i only see a red message saying "Failed".

I tried it by using the little Webbrowser and by just copy/past the Link to the List page. Both options "Send link to NAS" or "Download File ..." had the same results.

Any suggestions ?

Greetings

Hi,

Only suggestion for now: give me the URL of the download you are trying to add.

In next version (beginning of July), I'll add logging feature (for now, it's only prepared, but not sent), which will allow me to spot such problems.

Regards,
Jérôme

Qgetmobile Download task issue

Postby darkstar72 » Fri Jun 25, 2010 12:23 am

I'm a big fan using QGetmobile on my iphone and ipad to upload .torrent files to download station, however I have been having issues lately with torrent files specifically from demonoid. I have had success in the past however anytime I download (copy link, paste, add, "download and send file" to NAS) and all I get is a download task that hangs with <some number>.torrent without full filename. ex:18084219.torrent. Other torrent sites work perfect and I can download a torrent file from demonoid without a hitch using PC. I'm not sure if this is an issue with demonoid, Qgetmobile v0.2, or TS 109 (3.2.0429T beta). Any feedback would be appreciated!

Hi,

Does Demonoid require login to be able to download torrent files ? If yes, then this can't work with QGetMobile for now, as I don't get the cookies from the website to download the .torrent... so it can't work.

Otherwise, can you spot when the problem happend, what has changed on Demonoid, are you sure you were able to use it before.. ?

Thanks,
Jérôme

I was able to successfully cut and paste torrent link and send to NAS last week. Everytime I bring up site in qgetmobile web browser, my credentials appear to be cached as I'm already logged in. I reloaded app multiple times. Just weird why this site does not work. Perhaps the filename is too long?

Hi,

Yes, a simple suggestion: wait for next update, I have fixed it and submitted an update for review yesterday evening :)

Regards,
Jérôme

PS: btw: you can't add new **torrent** to download, but other files are OK.

Hi,

Yes, I was hoping to keep it free with ads... but as nobody clicks on the images, I have made it paying.

Thanks for your support,
Jérôme

Hi all,

QGetMobile v1.4 has been published on the Android Market. It is an important updated compared to the beta version 0.1 and has the same functionalities as SynoLoad v1.4.

Version 1.4 adds the following (from v0.1):
- Support Android 2.2 (Froyo)
- Ability to save information of several NAS on Login screen.
- Ability to add bookmarks in the WebView.
- Add a button to reset the read items in the RSS Settings (will show all items on feed).
- Improve UI: Replace text buttons by image buttons.
- Improve logging system in case of error.
- Make title bar buttons bigger (easier to click).
- Improve Keypad (validation should execute the action).
- Add light grey hints in text areas.
- Automatically add default port (8080/443) when not specified.
- Ask user to "send link" or "download torrent then upload file".
- Add a splash screen.
- Add a spinning wheel when launching for the first time to give some feedback.

Bug fixes:
- RSS items are not updated when adding a new feed.
- Automatically remove "http://" in Server IP.
- Files cannot be added from websites with authentification.
- Section titles in RSS/Search are difficult to see.
- Autorefresh doesn't work when displaying Download Info.
- Contact form doesn't have Auto Correction.
- Some RSS feeds don't work anymore (changed method from POST to GET)
- Pause/Resume/Remove don't work from time to time.
- When launching in landscape mode, text size is too small.
- Activity spinning wheel gets stuck from time to time.

Hope you find it nice !

QGetMobile v1.4 for iPhone has been submitted last week, and should be out in a few days. I'll tell you when it's live !

Thanks,
Jérôme

I didn't look if you got feedback for the Symbian OS, but here is my findings, btw are you still working on it I see the version # is old ?

Well I have tried to install it on my Nokia 5800xm and I got an error # saying that the certificate was not valid.

Do I have to do something before installing it, did it work for you ?

thanks

Hi,

I am still working on it, and v0.1 is not that old. I have just aligned the version of my 2 programs.

If you have a certificate error, it may be because the application unsigned and you need to sign it yourself through www.symbiansigned.com, with the IMEI of your phone.

I am currently in the process of having it available on the OVI Store, so if you wait a few days (hopefully tonight or tomorrow I will submit it), you'll be able to install it easily.

Regards,
Jérôme
