The DoM on our NAS Model is a USB Device. The NAS needs the NAS DoM to be the first USB device detected, or it won't boot. Submit a ticket with the QNAP Helpdesk for advice on changes to the BIOS on the NAS to see if you can rectify this with BIOS setting changes.

I am successfully using an ST Lab USB3.0 Hub with my TS-470 Pro, but I suspect it works here because I played with the BIOS of the NAS. I do not recommend playing with the BIOS settings without guidance from QNAP, as incorrect settings could make the NAS "unbootable".
