recommended SSD size

Post by gillmacca »

Hi,
I am new here, and I am just waiting on delivery of a QNAP TS-451+
I have a spare SSD, and was wondering approximately how much space would be required to install the QNAP software, SSD cache and windows (not sure on windows 10 or windows server). I have other software I want to install, but I already know how much space that will take up.
Just want to make certain the drive is big enough (pretty sure it is - 120gb)

Thanks for your help

Is that your only disk?
Use the forum search feature before posting.

Use RAID and external backups. RAID will protect you from disk failure, keep your system running, and data accessible while the disk is replaced, and the RAID rebuilt. Backups will allow you to recover data that is lost or corrupted, or from system failure. One does not replace the other.

Get Samsung 840 EVO 250GB. I had this one for past year and had no problems with it at all. They are quite cheap as well right now.
