Bluetooth

Post by Jazz12 »

Hi all,
Please can you help, I would like to know if I can use a usb Bluetooth dongle on my TS-851 and if so how to install it because I have a Rii mini i8 keyboard
and would like to use it with Kodi instead of using my phone all the time.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

The Rii mini i8 keyboard does come with a dedicated USB dongle, working to the USB host s a USB HID device class - as such it can work with the NAS, not only for Kodi.

Generic Bluetooth sticks don't act as USB HID, requiring host based software - this is not available on the NAS.

Hi Schumaku

Could you use Rii mini i8 keyboard wirelessly when in HDstation mode this way? Some apps like Kodi work faster via HDMI.

Previous post was based on the product description, not on my own usage experience.
