When I'm browsing my folders with Kodi using the QNAP IR remote control, the NAS opens other apps from the HD station, such as Youtube or Chrome.
This is a pain because I need to use a mouse or the phone app to close youtube or Chrome, and that defeats the purpose of having an IR remote.
Is there anybody experiencing the same issue? Any suggestions?

Yes - many Apps require a real pointer and a keyboard, indeed.
