Canon i865 will not work with 3.4.x, printing only 20% of the first page, then TS210 reports an error.
Printer is installed as described for 3.4.x (http://qnap_ip:631/printers/NAS_namePRx)
Going back to 3.3.8 or 3.3.9 -> will work instantly

I recently bought a Samsung ML-1665, and it doesn't work on my TS-419P.
When I connect it via USB it sees the printer perfectly, and when I connect remotely via windows 7 (64bit), I can see it, and connect to it. However nothing prints, and no error is shown.
Windows shows nothing in the queue, just as on the admin-page for the NAS.
I'm on 3.4.0 BTW.

Tried to connect to a new TS419 - unsuccessfully :(
I only need to use the printing capability - don't care about scan, fax etc

Contrary to this earlier report, My Brother MFC-7420 prints through TS-410 under firmware 4.3.2 Build 0331T.

Will now work.
Solution: Reboot twice after firmware upgrade.

That is exactly my scenario and I have 3.4.2 and I have rebooted several times.

Same as before, the NAS found the USB printer

TS-210 updated V3.2.5 still cannot operate HP LaserJet P1006

Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
Model: HP LaserJet P1006
Status: Ready

Once I want to print a test page. I can see the document sent to the printer list but nothing printed out.

Same thing here. TS-119 recognized the printer (HP LJ P1006) but when I want to print a test page, I see it as "job completed" in the list on the NAS administration page but nothing is being printed.

TS-119 updated 3.4.2 Build 0331T still cannot operate HP LaserJet P1006

Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
Model: HP LaserJet P1006
Status: Ready

It works like a charm when connected directly to my linux laptop. Is this a firmware problem with the linux version of the NAS?

Same to me . TS-119 (3.4.2) & HP LJ (P1008) ... So i tried install P1006 driver once. it works! But after a shortage paper, the "job completed" queue things again. I can't fix it.

Now i try to downgrade 3.3.9. wish it works!

I have a HP LaserJet P1102 connected to a TS-219. It works 90% of the time and only has a issue that makes you have to do a manual task every now and then.
Since it does a shutdown it falls out of the connected USB list when the TS-219 restarts. For it to acknowledge the printer i need to manually turn it on. It then re-appears and it works until the next boot.

My printer is an HP LJ 1320. The server broke on the upgrade from 3.4.0 to 3.4.1 and remains broken on 3.4.2. Reverting the firmware appears to have fixed matters.

Hi,

Canon Pixma mp830 does not work on ts 119P+ . No printer detected, it seems an external storage device is.
I upgraded to the latest firmware, still does not work.
This is a major disappointment, hope these issues are resolved quickly.

Regards,
NIels

Hello

I'm using TS-410 and HP LaserJet Professional P1606dn is currently not working at all. Tried everything, is there anything that can be done to solve this issue? Qnap identifies the printer but there is some sort of issue when printing either on linux windows (tried both). I get to see the jobs but they don't get processed. Any help would be appreciated.

Happy to report that Photosmart c6180 / c6100 series works flawlessly.

Thanks in advance.

Paulo

Hello,

I updated to the latest firmware, tried several ports, tested on linux mac and xp, and nothing. Sometimes I see the printer on the web-manager, most of the times I don't. When I do, and I manage to get it recognized by the pc, when I send the print job the printer doesn't process the queu correctly, it prints giberish (some times doesn't even process the print job, it outputs some error).

Can someone give some insight as to how to fix this, since I have two printers?

Any news? Do you just report it here and hope for the best?

I reported my printer problem weeks ago and also send a PM to the moderator as stated but no reply until today.

I have used an HP1160 successfully with my TS-410 under previous firmware versions, but since updating to 3.4.0 (various builds) nothing. Same symptoms as others are reporting - printer appears to install, but just doesn't print.
