I found a solution for my MP530 .. When I tryed to setup as a new printer it said the driver wasnt installed so I tried installing.. however under Canon the MP530 wasn't listed... After playing around.. I decided to pick just a "generic " for the manufacter I picked MS Publisher color printer... it completed the setup but still wouldn't print...
So then I tried going into the printer properties.. Under advanced I changed the printer driver from MS publisher and in the list of option MP530 was listed there... I picked it and save the changes... WOW... I could now print...

Hope this helps someone else... This might work for most other printer that are not supported by QNAP...

As a note.. I had the MP530 and driver already installed on my computer so it might of found what it was looking for in order to set it up..

HP Laserjet CP1025 Color does not work.

Appears in the list of USB Printers as ready. Documents Spool, but nothing prints. Seems same as others HP Laserjet 1020 issues.

Hi,
attached a Samsung ML-1610 Laserprinter to USB on a TS-109P. Installation seems to be working OK. Reported correctly when looking up USB Printer. Windos Printer test worked OK. Linux Printer test worked OK.
However, when attached and defined as default printer in Windows 7, Applications such as Photoshop or Corel Draw experience extremely long response times (minutes) when opening file or trying to print.

Hello,
is there any chance to support CANON MF4350D ISensys ? I'd like to connect it to the QNAP print server, but, if I understand well, this multifunction printer isn't still support. Am I right?
Thank you for any reply.

Sansung SCX-4200 does not work on Qnap TS-219PII.
Before this Qnap storage I had a Synology DS211J, and the printer worked perfectly.

Same here with my Canon MP640. QNAP 239P as NAS connected by USB.
Nothing happens after visibility in the spooler.
Printing from iPad with AirPrint doses NOT work :-(
Please fix this!!!

SINCE FW 3.7.3:
- Win7x64 works fine
- via AirPrint: Printer reacts, but only prints garbage, seems qnap uses wrong driver

Just had a similar issue with the Canon MP550, where the job was sent to the printer, but never came out, and I managed to solve it: connect first the printer via USB directly to the Mac. The Mac will tell you that it needs to download the drivers for the printer. After you have downloaded and installed the driver, unplug the printer from the Mac and delete the printer from the print&scan menu.
Now connect the printer to the qnap (make sure the bonjour service is enabled under usb printer section). Then go back to the Mac, add a printer, choose it from the list (bonjour will find it automatically) and select as driver the driver you have just downloaded (so no airprint or generic driver!).
Done, it should now print.

PS: The printer has True Abobe Postscript TM 3. No PS emulation.
