Hi,
My Qnap 459 Pro II drops 2 ping packates in every about 7 minutes.
fw: 4.1.0
switch: hp 1810g
I disabled teaming, tried also 2 different nics, disabled jumbo frames etc. but result is always same.
What could be the problem? switch?
But i could ping without dropped packets to my router, to the switch which qnap connected, to the other active devices on my network....
Ping loss in every 7 minutes

Re: Ping loss in every 7 minutes
So and....?
Any issues related?
Any indications on your managed switch ref. problems, i.e. the port counters?
One ping per minute, second, 1/10 second, 1/100 second, ....?
...
Any indications on the NAS interface counters?
[~] # ifconfig
bond0
...
RX packets:1261149 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:221822 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0

Sorry, you have a lot of information available ... why ask the community?

Sure there are issue, if you lose connectivity just for two seconds , than you've troubles while streaming for example..
At the switch logs, 0 errors on the port
Here is dropped packets seen:
[~] # ifconfig
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr
inet addr:10.1.1.10 Bcast:10.1.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:3983062 errors:0 dropped:1772 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:14268960 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000

Re: Ping loss in every 7 minutes
The fact a TCP/IP stack is not replying to an ICMP echo request does not inherit a connection loss - this is your free interpretation.
However, I see some pretty high numbers of dropped packets on all NAS, too.
