JUMBO FRAMES working on one QNAP and doesnt on the second

Post by dferara »

Hi guys!

I have 2 QNAPs, TS-239 Pro and a TS-210, both have the latest firmware 4.1.0 beta, I have used MTU 9000 always on my home, everything was working great, I startet to have problems with the JUMBO FRAMES on the TS-239 PRO, before like 2 months ago, I was on the firmware 4.0.3 STABLE. The strange thing is that I realized that the MTU 9000 on the TS-210 with 4.1.0 works perfect. I can ping 9000 packets and go on to the web admin page, and go to the Share folders.

On the TS-239 PRO simply cannot! Then I thought doing the update maybe will fix the MTU problem on the TS-239 Pro, but after the update, doesnt work with MTU 9000.

The strange thing is, with the TS-239 Pro on MTU 9000 if I put the PC on the MTU 1500, I can Access the QNAP, but when I change the PC back to MTU 9000 or MTU 4500 the Access is out! On the TS-210 I can Access with any configuration MTU 1500, MTU 4500, MTU 9000.

So now I have both QNAPs TS-239 PRO and TS-210 with firmware 4.1.0 beta, but only the TS-210 can work withs MTU 9000.

PS: On the TS-239 Pro I did try boths NIC for separetly, one in 1500MTU and the other in 9000MTU, I only can acccess the IP for the one with MTU1500, I did try port trunking too, not luck at all!

If you have an idea please share it ;)

Cheers!

Please do not post the same issue more than once.
