zcat: invalid magic

Hi,

I am trying to install CAE software (Samcef) on my QNAP NAS TS-469.

First I had to install tcsh since Samcef requires csh shell. During the installation, I receive the error message

"zcat: invalid magic"

while I believe the installer is trying to unzip compressed files. I tried to install the software on a regular laptop with linux, it worked fine. Could you give me a hint regarding what may go wrong on the NAS ?

Thanks a lot! I was able to install the software following your 1st case. I was quite confident the files were not damages since the installation worked on another computer.
