Just got a TS-470Pro and have an E3-1265LV2 45W CPU I could use plus 2GB RAM from a TS-469Pro taking it to 4GB (min RAM for running Virtual Station).
Does anyone know if the E3-1265LV2 will work with the standard RAM or must I fit ECC RAM. Would like to see how it performs with Virtual Station with this CPU.
I have been using the E3-1265LV2 with 16GB ECC RAM in a G8 Microserver but RAM is full size so hoping to be able to test out with the 4GB SOMIMM I have before considering buying 16GB SODIMM.

Re: TS-470Pro E3-1265LV2 and RAM question
It will work with standard non-ECC RAM, I don't think the chipset used in the TS-x70 supports ECC at all. (For ECC to work you need both CPU and chipset support.)

Thanks for replying, did some more reading and does look like I can use non-ECC RAM from what I read before you replied.chodaboy19 wrote:It will work with standard non-ECC RAM, I don't think the chipset used in the TS-x70 supports ECC at all. (For ECC to work you need both CPU and chipset support.)
