Hi all,
i am runnig a TS-669 Pro with FW 3.8.4 Build 20130816. I am considering about an Ugrade to QTS 4.1.0 Build 0612 but
i am not sure if my APC Back-UPS ES 550G (conneted via USB) is still supported QTS 4.1.
Under the current system OS 3.8.4 it works fine.
I tried borad search but didn't find anything about my UPS.
Can sombeody give any advice about this ?
Many Thanks.
Best regards
tlichy

It shouldn't be a problem.

I'm also running it with two qnaps on 4.1, no issues, except for the UPS connected popping up once in a while.
TS-870 upgraded with i7 3770t and 16GB F3-1600C10D-16GSQ kit, replaced LAN-1G2T-D with Intel I350-T4.

Re: APC Back-UPS ES 550G with TS-669 Pro
The main problem that I see with QNAP's UPS implementation is the lack of:
"go into auto protection when only X minutes of power are left"
They have the :
"go into auto protection when the system has been on battery power for X minutes"
But, this does not cover the times that there is a power outage, after another power outage, after another power outage. With the time in between not long enough to recharge the batteries. This time of X might be too long and never be reached causing a hard power off by the UPS.
QNAP is the only system I have seen that uses this strange method.
