"SuperSync 1.0.7 installation failed. The following QPKG mus

Post by johnnyjomp »

Hello everyone
I am trying to install SuperSync, but constantly get this error message.
"SuperSync 1.0.7 installation failed. The following QPKG must be installed and enabled: JRE >= 6.0 || JRE_ARM >= 6.0. "

I had a similar error message a while ago when installing a number of apps, but rebooting my NAS fixed the problem then. Now, after reinitializing and starting over, I have rebooted my box and am still getting the same error message. I have tried both manual and auto installation of the app.
any ideas?
John
Thanks!

OK.
I searched for "JRE" on Qnap and found a link to ARM JRE. Downloaded it and did a manual install, and now SuperSync installed fine.

why woiuld I have to install JRE myself? If it is required, shouldnt there be a warning that it is required before installing some programs? Wasted an hour today.

I'd prefer to have one JRE installed - pretty poor what is going on on other platforms, where every app does install it's own JRE.

Yes, of course. Please note this is a third-party application, not created, integrated, or bundled by QNAP. The App information does show SuperSync as the developer, and provides a link to http://www.supersync.com/

-Kurt.

Thanks for the reply, Kurt. I would have expected the link to sSulersync on the QNap site to have mentioned the requirment. Anyway, it is working now.
