Absolutely no info here.

When you're asking a question, please include the following

Additionally
- which USB ports? All of them, some only?
- dmesg output when you plug in the drives

Alternatively, try a crystal ball...

FYI, this is a community forum, as written in huge letters in the header. And yeah, we s*ck because we lack paranormal skills. QNAP support is here:  http://helpdesk.qnap.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit - they at least are paid for getting abused by clueless *beep* like you.

Bye, and thanks for wasting my time. (No need to reply.)

Nobody here has a crystal ball - therefore, with and without your credit card - we fail to read it. The same applies to the cabling and connections you used to connect the 2 TB WD Book to the NAS, to the console output, ...

If you are unwilling and unable to answer some simple questions the best support person can't help you.

The removal of your original post and the change of the subject proofs you don't understand any basics of a community forum.
