TS-412 problems

Post by paqmac »

Hello,

My TS-412 began to restart itself and gets stuck at start up. but when I remove all the disks it restarts with no problem.
If I insert a disk only (any one of the disks) she recognizes them and does not restart.
If I insert all 4 disks it restarts immediately.
If I insert the disk 2 with another disk it restarts immediately.
If I insert disks 1 and 4 does not restart the NAS.
If I insert the disks 1, 3 and 4 it restarts but not immediately.
With 1 and 4 like i said does not restart but when i awake it from sleep mode i restarts itself again..

I tested all the drives on my pc and pass all tests without problems.

I assume that disc 2 is defective despite passing all the tests that I do.

Is it possible that all of my discs are damaged?
Why she's recognizing all discs without problem but can not be inserted into the 4 simultaneous?

How can i recover my data?

Can i read the data from this raid on my pc?

Data recovery is simple: "Restore from your most recent Backup". See the Backup Station section of the fine manual for details on restoring your archival Backups.

It is likely that only one drive that is damaged, (unless you are using strongly discouraged drives like Seagate DL or DM-series drives). Unfortunately you have not provided enough information for us to help very much. Please review: When you're asking a question, please include the following.
  • Was the HDD LED above any of your drives solid Red?
  • Can you access the NAS via SSH w/o drives? (login with "admin"/"admin").
