wifi usb stick problem

Post by ahmedhussien36 »

i just wanna share a problem that i solve with you

my nas is Qnap ts-212p , and wifi usb stick is TL-WN723N - which is reported by the compatibility list that is not supported.

now get this configuration to work normally, through normal qnap apps

1. Qnap is using the same TCP stack for Ethernet and WiFi connection , so the setting you apply to eth. is the same as WiFi
2. open your network setting (Ethernet connection first) make your computer IP address any static IP or use QFinder.
3. go to network from settings , make DHCP --> ON and choose to get IP address automatically
4. plug in Tplink wifi usb stick, go to WiFI tab after loading choose your network, type password, connect
5. after connecting go ethernet tab again and u will find dropbox to apply settings to connection from . choose WiFi.
6 make sure that your router DHCP is enabled.

thanks
