The access rights for Microsoft File Sharing (SAMBA), Apple Filing Protocol (AFP), and File Transfer Protocol (ftp) includidng the secured ftes, Web File Manager, Qfile, ... are set-up the same - the NAS does not allow a protocol ** diferentiation.t-flash wrote:And when I configure that access rights for folders, files and so on for FTP-Connections, did they fit to the access rights when you view these files over Windows (File Sharing) ??

But I have a question left, when I watch this Picture "
"then I see there, that I just can give Read AND write Rights. But this means for me that users can see every file and can upload , download and delete some files. Is it not possible to give them just download, upload and read rights ? Also I dont want that users gain delete rights from the system with the "write" access-rights. Because I will upload some files which should stay on the storage but some of that guys can maybe delete that files and I want that these guys can upload, download that files. Is there a possibility ?
Otherwise, is it possible to install a 3th party ftp-server on the system like Serv-U ?
