I can Access All File Shares - Bar one

Postby Poolestar » Wed Aug 01, 2012 5:54 pm

Hey Guys,

Ok, starting to go a little mad here.

Right I have around 22 Folder Shares, I have built a new office PC, which uses a different user name to log on with "Name1 Name1" I have added the user to the users on the QNAP and given the user the associated permissions (basically Adin Rights)

All the sub folders are accessible to other Admin users (4 in total) from their respective machines, each username and password on the QNAP, is the same as the username and password for windows.

Ok here is the Crazy bit, I can open every folder on the new machine expect one, which we use for storing Video’s we have created, each time windows keep’s saying we do not have the correct permissions, I have checked and double checked the folder settings, and nothing seems out of sorts.

Any ideas?

Let me know if you need any more info.

Cheers

Iain

Well, may as well answer my own question, as i seem to have resolved the issue :?

I Removed all the users - then re-added them and it seemed to work (i did have a couple of users which did not exist any more as well, this could of been an issue) I also switched off User access and Guest Access.

Hope this helps some one else.
