Virtualization Station not working

Post by tactech »

It doesn't work on my TS-453 (V 4.1.3) whereas TS-853 (V 4.1.3) installation works fine.

Any ideas?

Virtualizaion Station will use Port 8089 in default.
Please make sure the port is mapping or enabled.
Current is https://x.x.x.x:8089/

but nothing happens.

Did you disable the admin account? With the admin account dissabled it will not work. Also the first time you acces vitualization station you have to do it on the same network. Thats what i have learned with virt.station.
Try first then read the manual.

I'm now getting a blank when opening Virtualization, this as only happened since updating to v4.1.4.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

Same problem is stated here: http://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?f=318&t=111146

Appearantly the problem is on several types of QNAP. I've a TS-451 and it use to work perfectly. Now I can only connect to it via Putty and commandlines. Really annoying!

this issue was resolved for me simply by forwarding port 8089 on my router for some reason the port forward rule was delete off my router after a qnap firmware update; not sure if it had anything to do with the UPnP since then I disabled the UPnP feature on my router and did everything manually.
