ts459_proII and Active Directory

Post by gary201 »

Ever since I updated my ts459_proII to firmware 4.1.0 build 20140612, I have found that I have to rejoin AD every few weeks. I never had this problem before firmware v4.1.0 and I'm almost wondering whether I should downgrade. The symptom is that windows clients suddenly get "access denied" trying to access their qnap home directory. Trying to remap a drive also fails. Simply rejoining the qnap to ad through the web gui, solves the problem, but in the process (everything) using a samba share temporarily looses connectivity.

AD server is w2k8r2 w/the "Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level" policy set to "Send NTLMv2 response only". The Qnap is also set for "Only allow NTLMv2 authentication" as are all other windows systems. Again, the security policies of the AD sever have not changed at, and only after upgrading to v4.1.0 did I begin experiencing these issues that only seem to be fixed by period re-joining the qnap to AD.
