Maybe I am going mad here, or maybe I wish a feature that no one else does, but I desperately wish a mediaplayer with the ability to delete the shows afterwards.
Essentially, I have been testing the media server on our NAS, and so far it seems to work great for playing video upstairs on our iPad (which we stream to our TV). I am also hoping with our new Samsung TV to arrive in a few days, that we could also stream directly to that with their own DLNA app if the video formats are supported.
All great, except, like on a PVR, when we have watched a show, we want to delete it.
But I can't seem to find out how to do this with the current iPad apps. Instead, I have to fireup the PC which is in another room, navigate to the folder where the videos are kept on the NAS, remember which was the episode that we watched (which is not always easy due to their filenames) and manually delete.
Surely there must be a more elegant way direct from the app.
I have tried the following Apps:
QMobile: Pretty good all up. Can navigate the folders with ease and plays the video fine. But no obvious way to delete a video once watched.
AirAV: Not as nice as QMobile, but works. A bit of a hassle to update files. But no way to delete on the iPad
Am I missing something, or do I need a better "paid" app for the iPad to have control like deleting?
