Sample Images on Photo Station front page

Postby chrisinns » Sat Jul 14, 2012 2:56 pm

Hello,

Does anyone know if there is a way to change the banner images on the front page of the photo station (http://<NAS IP>/photostation/) at the moment they are simply sample images but I would like to customize them for my photo album?

Thanks
Chris

Check out the fine manual, especially the Photo Station section. It will display pictures from a Public folder, on the Banner page. Simply make one of your folders a Public folder, and make the Samples folder "Private". Then you can use your pictures for that page. However please read this section as it explains it far better than I can.

Personally I prefer to have it show the default pictures. My Photo Station users don't see any of my pictures until they have actually logged into it. This lets me control who sees what.

Patrick.

Thanks Patrick

I can't believe I missed that.

1. Under settings goto Banner Settings -> Banner Style -> select banner style

2. A browse button appears prompting the user to select a public album of which to choose pictures for the banner.

3. Chooses photos to put in the banner from the public album

The public album is made under the album privacy tab. In my case I simply created a folder in my Multimedia directory called 'PhotoStation Bannner' and placed the desired images in there and made that folder public.

Cheers

Yup, thats how I did it too, but I eventually switched back, so only authenicated users can any of my photos. It's a cute bunny and all, but I consider Rabbits to be "food" rather than "pets", so that picture really didn't fit my lifestyle. (I love all gods creatures, and they look best right beside my mashed potatoes).
