*** Netbak and/or Qsync changing mouse priority ***

Post by adam12 »

Whenever Netbak and/or Qsync are running (in background - only seen on the taskbar) my mouse priority does not stay on the target,

Example:

I right click in a folder and choose create folder
The name for the new folder is highlighted momentarily and then the priority goes away and the new folder is called 'New folder'
Right click on a folder and choose rename
Go to type the new name and the folder is no longer a priority. I have to right click and choose rename again and hopefully type it fast enough before I have to repeat that process until I get the folder named

If I close Netbak and Qsync this problem does not occur.

I have changed to the priority of both processes to 'low' and the same thing happens.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

It has nothing to do with priority. It has to do with focus. If it is Netbak and/or Qsync then one of those programs is momentarily becoming the active window and the focus changes to that window. If it is truly one of those programs there is nothing you or anyone else can do. You will need to open a ticket with QNAP support and report the issue.

Use RAID and external backups. RAID will protect you from disk failure, keep your system running, and data accessible while the disk is replaced, and the RAID rebuilt. Backups will allow you to recover data that is lost or corrupted, or from system failure. One does not replace the other.
