RTRR & AD permissions

Postby Chuck26 » Thu Jun 28, 2012 9:56 pm

Hi everyone!

First of all sorry for my english :)

Scenario:

Qnap1 & Qnap2 AD members.
User & Groups showed correctly in both.
Setting up permission in Share1 (with enable Windows ACL support) goes right.
Setup RTRR from Share1 (on Qnap1) to Share2 (on Qnap2).
Data is copied fine, but permission are gone...

Is there any way to copy data and preserve advanced permission?

Thank you!!

hi
to get such an advanced features you will probably have to leave the GUI for the linux command itself. As far as I know it is possible to keep permissions with rsync and the command option '-o' and "-g" (see 'rsync -help' for more details)
