My company has 2 qnaps located at two different sites
Would this function be possible?:-
1) Users Copy Files to a folder on Qnap1
2) qnap1 copies files automatic to folder on qnap2.
3) staff edit files on qnap2 and after editing save a a new name.
4) qnap2 copies new files back to qnap1
Is this possible?

A real 2-Way Real-time Sync is not presently supported in the Firmware. Perhaps you should post a request to the "Features Wanted" subforum, and/or contact QNAP directly (see the "Contact Us" page on the main QNAP Website).apacsale wrote:My company has 2 qnaps located at two different sites

Re: 1 to 2 edit 2 to 1
Yes that will work. You are syncing folder A from NAS 1 to NAS 2 and folder B from NAS 2 to NAS 1. Two different folders going one way only. Not a problem.
Use the forum search feature before posting.
Use RAID and external backups. RAID will protect you from disk failure, keep your system running, and data accessible while the disk is replaced, and the RAID rebuilt. Backups will allow you to recover data that is lost or corrupted, or from system failure. One does not replace the other.
NAS: TVS-882BR | F/W: 5.0.1.2346 | 40GB | 2 x 1TB M.2 SATA RAID 1 (System/VMs) | 3 x 1TB M.2 NMVe QM2-4P-384A RAID 5 (cache) | 5 x 14TB Exos HDD RAID 6 (Data) | 1 x Blu-ray
NAS: TVS-h674 | F/W: 5.0.1.2376 | 16GB | 3 x 18TB RAID 5
Apps: DNSMasq, PLEX, iDrive, QVPN, QLMS, MP3fs, HBS3, Entware, DLstation, VS, +
