RTRR error - "Out of memory"

Hi,

I am syncing over the internet (SSL on) over rtrr (2-way sync) two NAS. One is TS879 e3 xeon with 16Gigs Ram and the other is standard TS859PRO+ with 2 Gigs RAM. The sync job originated from the 879. With a 10Mbit upload between both NAS, it is minimum feasible doing this kind of job (large files, some hundreds GigaBytes of information to backup. Am in no rush...)

It was my surprise that about 12 hrs later, a notice of error... "Out of memory" Any suggestions?

Looks like I am talking to myself. Hasn´t anybody else also experienced lack of memory during a RTRR backup?

Ok, here is an update:

I have monitored System Resources and each 4 hrs passing during the backup, the available RAM drops about 150MB...this is just an estimate value, and will recheck again later during other backups... Just a warning for other users in need for long and large rtrr backups, looks like a lot of RAM is needed...

I have contacted Qnap, and it looks like an expected behavior.

I see this issue with a TS-559 Pro II QTS 4.1.0 20140416 (RC2) with 3 GB RAM and a TS-670 Pro QTS 4.1.0 20140416 (RC2) with 16GB RAM.

Sorry for the lack of Information, I will do further Investigation and report back.

I am having the same issue - "Out of Memory"

I have 3 x Qnap 465 systems. I upgraded one from v3.73 to 4.1.0 Build 20140612 because I was starting to have problems with RTRR - I attempted to do a small directory 3Gig with 2million files and every time it fails with the out of memory issue.

Any help on this would be appreciated - my challenge is that one of our directory trees has in excess of 18 million files with 210K added daily, if V4.1.0 fails on a small one it will never handle the larger directories.
