Can Anybody Share Their 2WAY RTRR Sync Experience w/ QTS4.1?

Post by oncompoz »

Hi There

I was wondering if anybody got to experience with that new feature in QTS 4.1?? The 2-Way RTRR Sync between 2 QNAPs?

How good is it?? I could only find one post talking about "lots of ram memory needed"..

What happens if a file is being edited in both sides? Will it go by the source?

Does the 5 min interval (minimum from what I can read) work fine?

Any feedback is highly appreciated!

Thanks,
Oz

Hi,

Just tried to two way sync a ~300 Gb folder using two top 16 bay units with 4Gb RAM with latest 4.1.
"Out of memory error" after a half of hour, while memory is at 15%

I guess same thing http://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=90629

I was impressed of features set. Sadly, these functions was not polished as interface.
