With Microsoft offering 1TB cloud storage when using Office 365 Home Family, there must be a sync possibility inQnap.

This ain't Google+ and as you noted, you did not really get anywhere with those 12 pages of +1
OneDrive works with WebDAV on Windows. The problem with Linux is this (see references at the bottom):
If you want it working, then simply
- grab this: WebDAV beta QPKG
- grab branch rel-1-4-6 of davfs2 from http://cvs.savannah.gnu.org/viewvc/davf ... =rel-1-4-6 - will NOT work with MAIN
- (cross)compile davfs2 with -D DAV_FOLLOW_REDIRECT 1
- get QDK, unpack the QPKG, replace sbin/{mount,unmount}.davfs in the QPKG with what you compiled above
- get some python decompiler (like, http://sourceforge.net/projects/easypythondecompiler/), and decompile bin/drive.pyc (or bug QNAP for proper source code)
- edit so that it tries to mount stuff with follow_redirect=1
- nuke the bin/drive.pyc, replace with edited bin/drive.py
- repack the QPKG, install, test...
References:
davfs2 - Bugs: bug #35428, Implement temporary Redirect for...
davfs2 - Support: sr #107402, 302 Found / Skydrive
Howto get the OneDrive URL:
- Login to https://onedrive.live.com/
- Note the CID: e.g. https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=0123456789abcdef
- Use the CID for WebDAV url, which is https://d.docs.live.net/0123456789abcdef
Once you got it working, nag QNAP in the proper forum section to add this to their WebDAV QPKG. We don't need any special OneDrive package.
P.S. No, I don't have any QPKG ready, sorry. No, I do NOT intend to provide and maintain one either, do NOT ask me for. The above howto was provided as a starting point for those who wish to use OneDrive with QNAP.

Re: SkyDrive
OneDrive has now (in near future for most users) unlimited storage for Office365 users (10$/month). This is a great offer.
Even Windows Azure is available, so QNAP team please add OneDrive too.

....and by the way, dear QNAP: it should not be so hard to offer a solution, see http://www.lifehacker.com.au/2014/09/sy ... e-support/.

Re: SkyDrive
I run across this project OneDrive.d for Linux.
I'm not a developer, but would it be hard to convert to QNAP?
