better Power Management

if you enabled the shedule for shutting down or restart or turning on the server there must be an option if there is an active data stream not to shut down the server. i'm using the NAS for a webbased Document Management System and for System Backups with Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery.

also nice would be the posibility to keep the NAS alive by a client script till client has no data exchange to NAS.

alternative the NAS mails to a mailing list or just one emailadress that it is shutting down in perhaps 30 min. to stop that shedule just click on a link. that should halt the shedule-process.

another way would be:
some wake-on-lan-programms have the option "keep NAS alive". as a consequence if a magic package will be send all 10 minutes to NAS the shedule will be halted. after the magic package isnt arriving any more - the NAS looks at the shedule, if the actual time is in an "off" mode, the NAs is shutting down; if it is in a "on"-time nothing will happen; but the next shedule entry will be executed.
