Folder Aggregation -> More Remote Folders

Postby keule » Fri Aug 06, 2010 5:35 pm

Hi QNAP!

I love FOLDER AGGREGATION feature which I'm actually using to aggragate local (on my QNAP) Shares. As a Host-Name I fill in the IP of my NAS.

Why is the GUI limited to only 10 Remote Folders per Portal-Folder?

My Feature Request is to remove the limit completely and allow unlimited number of Remote Folders.
If the limit can not be removed for whatever reason, please increase the number of possible Remote Folders to at least 25.

best regards,
keule

If it's not in the v3.4 Beta2 - no luck.

@QNAP,

Please consider it for the next minor update.
It's only a small modification in the GUI and it will give you something on the "Enhancement List" for the next release, so that you not only have to report "fixed bug" in the change-log :-)

cheers!

Maybe for 3.5.0???

Should be not too difficult to implement that. It's a GUI limitation only...

I currently have three QNAP NAS (TS-259 Pro+, TS-410U, TS-879U-RP) and this "10 elements" limitation in Folder aggregation is very annoying for me too.

Thanks.

Folder Aggregation settings can be found in /share/MD0_DATA/.@msdfs_root
It uses Symbolic links to : msdsf:<HOST>\<SHARE_NAME>

i added more manual and it works.
