It os possible to have some kind of M. Exchange program running on Qnap?
The idea is to have all my mobile devices syncking with the NAS: contacts, calendar and Email
Maybe something like "CommuniGate Pro" http://www.communigate.com/community/default.html
phpGroupware --> this one is openSource and In addition to email, it has calendar, to do lists, message board, trouble tickets, ftp client http://phpgroupware.org/
Take a look here: http://freeassociation.sourceforge.net/
They are writing libical first, which is a cross platform library for ical and vcal formatted information. it is the basis for the mozilla calendaring module, which can use published calendars just like apple's ical does (meaning: instant interop with ical users).
Another fine fine solution: http://kolab.org/ Kolab is a Groupware Solution for Emails, Appointments, Contacts and more. It supports mixed client environments (Outlook/KDE) because of an open storage format. Any email client speaking standard protocols can be served.
And the last one: http://www.tutos.org/homepage/about.html this on is a simplyer solution
and..
I think these are all solutions that run on Linux and perform Exchange type functions.
