Seems to me like an excellent solution to
store music on the qnap device and listen
from laptop and smartphone over chrome
and gmusic app, respectively.

Definitely +1

On the competition thing, mentioned above:

The QNAP provided Music Station is, in my opinion, an extremely well implemented feature, which is comparable to the experience of Google Music.

In fact, in the LAN, the Music Station might be considered even better than Google Music, as it allows for
- unlimited (instead of only 20.000) songs
- for easy webbased upload of new files to the NAS.

However, for remotely playing music, the Music Station is inferior, due to
- requirement of either VPN (unhandy), or exposing the NAS webserver to the WAN (insecure)
- no real mobile app for Music Station (the QMobile app is file- not tagbased and is rather for Media Station)

Thus, from my point of view, there should be no competion, and one could even use both services, Music Station and Google Music simultaneously...

hi guys

+1million for this feature.
Google music is being released in more and more countries, so more and more people will find this really useful!
Personally, I'm in Australia.

btw, where do I find the "feature request list"?
Can i vote for this feature there?

Thanks
Micah

+1 From Germany! :)

I would be happy about such a QPKG, the upload takes a long time on my laptop and can not be made continuous (I have the laptop with me). I would like to use Google Music for traveling and as a backup of my 16,000 songs. It would be, if I make a new song on the NAS and this is immediately uploaded to Google Music.

There is neither a public API nor a documented offline mode to play the encrypted/CRM protected Google Music data.

I would also love to have such plugin!
Thinking of buying a TS-253A mostly for Plex, (Google) Music and photos.
