TS209 Features Wanted: better bittorrent, dnsserver, sshd,..

Postby tvfischer » Tue Apr 29, 2008 9:52 pm

Hey all,
I recently purchased and finally set-up my QNAP TS209. I wanted to post my wanted list for the system. Sorry for repeat requests that might have already occurred!
BitTorrent: more intelligent client that supports either a watch folder (autoload of any *.torrent files) or RSS reader with cookies that auto pulls torrent files
DNS Server: want a full dns server so that i can manage internal dns names as well as use it as a dns cache
SSH Server: would like to get full ssh access to the server for manual configuration, it can be very useful when remotely administrating the server on slow networks
TCPIPNetworking: a number of things here
support for ipv6

support for alias interface to have for example eth0.0, eth0.1

support for QoS
Thanks!

Should be on the firewall / router instead.

Hmm, what's missing with the current SSH access, is it the authorized keys, or ??

-1 Don't care, don't want to waste CPU on it.

Good idea to have the possibility to have multiple IP's.

Hmm, this is only feasable with IPv6, so I wouldn't care :D
