HELP - Disk Failed now file system unmounted

Postby stevenhill » Sun Jul 01, 2012 7:23 am

I had a disk fail, so put a brand new one in the slot 7. Both mdadm and the QNAP did not recognise it, so I rebooted the NAS. When it came up it showed rebuilding. Then after a while, I g0t these messages and the RAID status shows unmounted.

Level: Error
[RAID5 Disk Volume: Drive 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8] Error occurred while accessing Drive 7.

Level: Error
[RAID5 Disk Volume: Drive 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8] Error occurred while accessing the devices of the volume in degraded mode.

Level: Error
[RAID5 Disk Volume: Drive 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8] Mount the file system read-only failure.

Level: Warning
[RAID5 Disk Volume: Drive 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8] Rebuilding skipped.

Level: Warning
[RAID5 Disk Volume: Drive 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8] Rebuilding skipped.

Looking at mdadm --detail /vev/md0 it still shows rebuilding on Disk 7
